P&M Supervisors
We are looking for M&P (Mechanical and Piping) Construction Supervisor for overseeing and managing the mechanical and piping aspects of the Project. We are looking for someone that typically has a strong background in mechanical engineering and construction management. Location: Maasvlakte. Your primary responsibilities and duties of a Mechanical & Piping Construction Supervisor include:
- Project Planning: Collaborating with project managers and engineers to develop construction plans and schedules specifically related to mechanical and piping systems. This involves reviewing project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Supervision and Team Management: Leading a team of construction workers, including mechanical and piping contractors, to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to project plans. This includes assigning duties, providing guidance, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Quality Control: Monitoring and enforcing quality control procedures to ensure that all mechanical and piping installations meet project requirements and specifications. This involves conducting inspections, reviewing test results, and addressing any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
- Safety Compliance: Promoting and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all construction personnel. This includes conducting regular safety meetings, implementing safety procedures, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Material and Equipment Management: Coordinating with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of required materials, equipment, and tools for mechanical and piping installations. This involves maintaining inventory records, verifying equipment functionality, and resolving any issues related to material shortages or defects.
- Progress Reporting: Providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders regarding the progress of mechanical and piping construction activities. This includes preparing progress reports, documenting work completed, and communicating any challenges or delays.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving construction-related issues and conflicts that may arise during the mechanical and piping installation process. This involves troubleshooting technical problems, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and proposing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Cost Control (joint with Construction Manager and Contracts Administrator): Monitoring project costs related to mechanical and piping installations and ensuring adherence to the budget. This includes tracking expenses, reviewing change orders, and implementing cost-saving measures when possible.
